Diogo Jota was on way to catch ferry when car crashed, after doctor advised against flying

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has died in a car crash in Spain

The car left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another car - here's what we know so far

His brother, Andre Silva, also died in the crash - his Portuguese football club have paid tribute to the brothers

Diogo Jota had recently undergone surgery, so was driving from Porto to Santander to catch a ferry to England for pre-season training

The Spanish community where the crash happened is in shock, writes Cristina García Casado from Zamora

Jota, 28, married his partner last month; the couple had three children

The Portuguese international was a key part of the Liverpool side that won the Premier League last season, and earlier played for Wolves and Porto

Liverpool FC say they are "devastated" by what they call an "unimaginable loss", Cristiano Ronaldo says "it doesn't make sense", while Jota's former manager Jurgen Klopp says: "We will miss you so much"
